Ghost Town 1988 – Rare Forgotten Western

If you haven't seen the movie Ghost Town and you love Westerns, be sure to give it a watch.

With more and more people being Libertarians that are border line Anarchists and some of the far Left suggesting we need to defund the police, now would be a good time to take a glance back at history and see how things turned out in small little towns where the law was overthrown in Western pictures like these. Von Army comes to mind!

Yes the movie is very dated, but with very little funding, very few big name actors and small production company such as Empire Pictures, I think this Western turned out to be a great low budget film from the 80s era. I think there's a lot of hidden meaning behind this film that Americans should pay attention to... Especially since very few Westerns are being made today and more unrealistic Super Hero movies are being pushed, I think it's definitely good to take a look back at these older films to give us a sense of reality in modern day, and to be honest with you, I think it's more practical to believe that Cops are the super heroes in today's world. Yes there's been plenty of corruption if you watch the documentary Seven Five, which has caused people to lose faith in the system, but nothing's perfect, there will always be corruption in no matter what organization it is. There's a lot of negative and mediocre reviews on IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes about this film, but if you look up the Reviews on Amazon about the Blu-Ray, it got rave reviews by Western diehards. It's very hard to find a source to watch this film since it's so rare, I think originally this was a TV based movie, never came out in the Theaters. But if it did, it was for a short period of time!

The plot is great, about a small town that is caught in purgatory between heaven and hell because their sheriff was shot and dragged through desert by a psychotic, undead outlaw named Devlin and his minions, then crucified up on a windmill to die while saying his spirit will not rest nor will this town until Devlin dies. Back in the day, watching this as a kid in the 80s was pretty horrifying, especially since it was on basic cable. I'm not going to give reveal anymore spoilers or plot rundown, I can point to you to some more interesting articles like Moviefreak and Classic Horror, again a lot of hidden meaning... But I will say this, I love the concept that Sheriff Langley had to use rusted out bullets from the old era instead the new era, to kill Devlin and his gang, very neat idea!

With more and more Americans following Anarchists preachers, suggesting that big business is going to balance out itself naturally... Here's the thing, if you examine everything else in life whether it's animals or fish, every food chain above or below the waterline, any sort of ecosystem has sort of these gate keepers, whether it's a musky with fish or a lion with animals, to keep other fish and animals in line... In a way, it's the same thing with cops and laws to keep citizens inline!

Capitalist Patrick Bet-David recently just had on Mr. Malice who basically said in order for capitalism to work, there must be laws and regulations, I think it's perfect timing since we're heading down a dark path right now in our own country after it was revealed bank regulations were removed after the recent bank collapse and stock market crash. Bet-David said "you sound so convincing," yep he's brain washing people and asks, "if your ideas are so perfect the way you sell them, how come others are not implementing it." Hence Von Army! But hey, keep listening to preachers from the Ayn Rand nutbar look alike contest and not what your forfathers Thomas Jefferson believed in... You have to remember Malice like Rand, comes from a country with a government that had too much powerful oversight, so he thinks only one way, which means no government and let businesses run the show! Neither of them were forefathers of our republic and democracy!

"Boys we're back in business, maybe I'll run for mayor!"

Lately, I've also been watching Dick Tracy, the scene that always crosses my mind was after Tracy was framed and went to jail, big boy Caprice said maybe he'll run for mayor. It's so ironic that so many Americans are comfortable with businessmen holding office in todays world right now, some food for thought, I wonder if it has anything to do with the amount of lawlessness in today's world.

Because what’s happening it seems to me is a strange distortion of the idea of the elite. If you ask me What’s an elite? I would think more about the many, many billionaires sitting in the Trump administration. Here’s a government with more super-rich people in it than has ever been in any American government, and that government calls college professors and journalists elites.

Other great Westerns I liked were of course Tombstone, Young Guns, The Quick and the Dead, and The Assassination of Jesse James... But another one that also went underneath the rug like Ghost Town, was Last Man Standing! With Bruce Willis just hitting 68 and struggling with frontotemporal dementia, definitely a good time to take time out of your day to thank him and others for producing these valuable films to study our history. What's the old saying, we must learn history so it doesn't repeat itself!

I really wonder if we're starting to enter a dystopia era somewhere between the movie Robocop and Judge Dredd with a lot of lawlessness and OCP will be running things... What's interesting is some people I've been are excited about this new era, are stocking up on guns and ammunition, can't wait to enter the Mad Max era, thinking it's going to be fun. My personal feeling is, people have been watching too many movies and have forgotten what it's like to live through hard times, once they start to lose loved ones due to lawlessness like the opioid epidemic, that's the only way they're start to realize just like Capitalist Ex-Pharma Rep Gwen Olsen eventually did... I think they're going to witness first hand shortly! I've always had a fascination with law, guess that's why I became a Criminal Justice major at U of D, but some of the things I'm seeing in today's world definitely has me dumbfounded, I would definitely say it shows the lack of education in our country!

What's ironic, despite doing these movies, I've heard both Bruce Willis and Kurt Russell are hardcore libertarians themselves, nothing wrong with promoting freedom to a point, but I think I'm starting to see a major line being crossed into the anarchist realm in today's world! I also think celebrities tends to lose their grasp on reality when they've lived in a much safer region of the world such as Hollywood California all their lives. What's even more ironic is, seems as though the right and left have all of a sudden flipped, where the right used to be conservative and believed in strict laws based on their religious views, now the left seems to be more on the stricter side, fucking weird or what? That means at one point, both Bruce and Kurt were probably originally traditional republicans before... Before what...? I think people have a tendency to have their perception of freedom change once one of their values become threatened of being stripped away such as 2nd amendment rights to guns or even cannabis, so they center solely on those values and forget that law keeps a balance in society to keep things running smoothly! Then you fit in a lot of corporate propaganda trying to brainwash and fearmonger you on other products being banned, then turn you into siding with them on a freemarket, doesn't take long before you subside and flip flop forgetting your religious core values... On the opposite end, you could also say same thing about the left with the confederate flag, then they start banning everything that offends them forgetting about liberal freedom, both sides of the spectrum are forgetting about balance. After seeing the Jocko and Tulsi podcast on suggesting everyone is brainwashed by corporate media, I highly recommending turning the TV off, looking back on history, and reflecting, start thinking for yourself on what the fuck you believe in, not what the TV is telling you to believe in... It's obvious that some are having a hard time just trying to figuring that out within their own party considering the information overload we deal with every day... My personal feelings are too, there's big difference to what a freemarket means and what freedom means, I think freemarket opens up the doors for corporation do what ever they want, freedom allows freedom for the people, don't get them twisted, many people are!

It's great to see some still celebrating history, this was a great costume from the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo!

I can't remember which episode, but one of my favorites was when Ghost Huners or Ghost Adventurers went back to one of the Saloons from the old West, in one of the audio clips you could actually still hear the chips and cards being flipped. A YouTuber by the name of Lyfe Untethered decided to go back the Old Washoe Club and film, very cool clip!

So this is way out there, in new revelations on UAPs and technology being backward engineered... This is still just burned into my mind, so decades ago Steven Greer sat down with Colonel Corso who said he had a telepathic communication with an Extraterrestrial, that basically said this technology will make you a better world, but that's only if you can handle it... What I think this EBE meant by that is, if you can handle the information overload and technological breakthroughs that will change our culture, jobs, and hobbies. Breaking it down within law enforcement, as more camera technology and Ai uncovers more corruption within government, will people still keep faith in the system and law, will people be able to handle all this mentally. Seeing more and more cops resigning, the low pay, and people not wanting to do this job anymore due to the responsibility and having a camera on ya at all times. At this point, I'm not so sure anymore... Stay safe out there!
